How do you remove permanent marker?

I've been trying to clean a bunch of Apple II's I picked up from parts 
unknown. Anyway, I've been fairly successful using a vacuum cleaner, 
mild soap and rubbing alcohol, but how do I get rid of all that permanent 
marker writing on those II's?
