Agreed.  It actually documented the system software, for example.
(Admittedly, there was no real system software when the original manual
was published, and they did include the MouseDesk user manual.)

The only useful part of the original manual was the Control Panel
documentation, and an appendix.

One glaring omission in the "IIgs Owner's Reference": they took out the
pinout diagrams for the connectors.  I still refer to my original "IIgs
Owner's Guide" for these if I need to refresh my memory.
