First of all, this is an Apple II News Group. The Apple II is the Apple
Macintosh's older kin. You might want to look in Comp.Sys.Mac.Sys in
the future.

However, to answer your question... The port you've discovered in the
ADB (Apple Desktop Bus) which is used to connect ADB devices (like keyboards
and mice) to the computer. These devices are normally connected in series,
each device has a port allowing the next ADB device to be connected.
Soooo, in your case connect your keyboard to the computer, then connect
your mouse to the keyboard. Voila! You're in business.
