I'm fairly sure that they did intend to release a Robot Odyssey II. I
have
the original manual and it says on the chip spec page: "Mail us your
best
circuits or chip designs. We may use them in the next odyssey!"
However, in the upgraded v2.0 disks, they changed the name in several
places to just "Robot Odyssey". It also appears that they did intend to
release a version (of ROI, at least) for PC's. Considering this never
happened, I doubt that ROII was ever released.
The idea was not totally lost, as was shown by Think Quick released a
couple of years later. Still, it's really too bad the Robot Odyssey
concept died out as soon as it did.
