"good old boy" is a southern term for establishment power brokers who went
to school with each other and "scratch each other's back", so to speak.
"Good old boys" are often running for political office and/or being blamed
for the electoral failure of non-traditional candidates.
Drunken rednecks are usually called "drunken rednecks"
