The copyright date, and fact that it included the program on both
5.25" and 3.5" disks would suggest it is version 2.0 or 2.1. This is
the during the time Apple Computer published the program and updated
it to recognize Apple IIgs memory.

Ahh, this is definitely version 2.x then. There is a bug in that
version of AppleWorks which will cause it to crash if 2 MB or more
are present on an Apple IIgs.

There is a patch program on the RAM GS diagnostic disk, it is a very
small Applesoft BASIC program. A few years back, Sequential Systems said
they would sell the patcher but not give it out.

The bit about requiring 256K would suggest it is AppleWorks 5.x from
Scantron Quality Computers, but considering it has an Apple part number
and the same packaging as my copy of Apple Access II (another Apple sold
program) I would say this is either version 1.x or 2.x.

When Claris took over the program and updated it to version 3.0, I
remember the box changed for the most part, and had the Claris name and
logo over it. Likewise for version 4.x and 5.x when Quality Computers
bought the program and put their name on the box with new styling.
