The Adaptive Firmware Card allows people with disabilities to use the
Apple IIGS. With the AFC, info can be input into the computer using
adaptive keyboards, pedals, foot switches, etc.
If you have full use of your limbs, then the AFC is worthless.
On the other hand, the Alliance For Technology Access maintains computer
labs around the country for people with disabilities, and your local lab
would just love to have that Adaptive Firmware Card.
I don't have the URL handy, but the ATA does have a site on the world
wide web, and on that site, you'll find the location of the lab closest
to you. If there are none, your local Easter Seals Society could make use
of that card.
If you need assistance trying to find a place that could use that card,
please contact me via e-mail (joko@crl.com) and I'll send you a listing of
the ATA sites.
