RamFast SCSI dead?
I have a IIgs with a RAMFAST SCSI card. Last week the computer ceased
to boot. I would turn it on and nothing would happen. When I turned it
off, the pilot light would give a slight flicker. I figured I'd lost my
power supply.
After much trial and error, I discovered that the computer will boot
IF and only if I remove my RamFast card. Of course, this makes my hard
drive useless. Removing other cards doesn't seem to help, nor does
changing the slot of the RamFast.
So, I have two questions:
1. Am I right in suspecting the RamFast, or could I still have a
power supply problem?
2. Does anyone still repair these things? I sent email to Sequential
Systems but so far have not received an answer.
Thank you!
