Monitor

I have a Commodore Color Monitor, Model 1092A.
It has a toggle switch in front to switch from CVBS to RGB
mode. It works great on a IIe, but only has 40 columns when I
use the simple RCA monitor port in back.
I suspect that if I put it on a IIc, a IIe with the RGB
card, or a IIgs, I could have a much better monitor. In order
to do this however, I would need to build a cable and use one
of the other two cable ports on the back. Both of the RGB
ports are round. Port (1) has 8 pins, and port (2) has 5
pins.
Can anyone tell me the function of the pins in each of
these ports? I have the pinouts for the IIe, IIc, and IIgs
RGB cables, so I am okay on that end. I just need to know how
to connect them to one of the ports on the monitor.

              Thanks in Advance
