(before I start, I want MJMahon to know that this post is NOT directed
at him, but merely was triggered by the above comment, which brought
some things up that I wanted to say.  I'm not accusing *anyone* of
anything -- just telling my point of view, so I apologize in advance
for the tone of the message)

I don't pay my mortgage with it, but I don't own a house.  I *have*
been paying my electric and phone bills with it, though, and I have
high electric and phone bills.

Point is, given my current financial situation, the little income
boost I get from Apple II software is just enough to keep me from
complete financial collapse.  If it weren't for this little bit of
income, I probably would have given up -- I can't take the time to
write Mac software, even though I'm a good Mac programmer -- it just
takes too long.  So I write Apple II software as much as I can to try
to keep a little extra money coming in.

So people that make snide little jokes about how pointless it is to
worry about people trying to make money off the Apple II can go
straight to hell, frankly.  I would be completely screwed without that
extra income.

And if anyone *ever* distributes the full, registered version of
Shifty List online without my permission, I will HUNT YOU DOWN and sue
you so fast you'll think you've had a sex change operation.
