Willie,

This is a motivated misunderstanding of what Sheppy said.  I am 
sure Sheppy is quite familiar with the concept of software being 
"reclassified" as freeware (or even sharware) for distribution.  What 
you are doin is fine because you are getting permission.

What I believe Sheppy is referring to is the "constitution" Mr. 
Mentzer posted which endorsed a "right" to copy _any_ software not 
available through "normal" channels.  

Personally, I agree with Sheppy's assessment of the idea.
