Recently bought an Apple III+ from a thrift store ($6 and it works) to
add to my small but growing collection. In the sudden realization that I
didn't know squat about the machine, my IIGS was dragged out of storage.
As it fired up and greeted me with ProDos it became obvious it's been a
long time since I sat in front of these. (Hey, at the time IBM compatible
was cheaper and better at upgrades.)
With any luck I should be throwing up a web page and FTP site to try and
help others out. Unfortunately, with all the files out there, I don't know
what software is alright to throw on or what's ok to mirror. If someone
wouldn't mind helping me out with this it'd be greatly appreciated.
One stupid question to throw into this message: Is it physically
impossible for format a disk for use on an Apple 3.5" Drive using your
generic pc clone 1.44 meg drive? Or is it just an experience which would
turn one into a character from The Shining?
