Yes. The Apple IIGS uses an 800K disk format that is physically different
from the 1.44M and 720K formats used on WinTell machines. Drives do exist
which can read and write all three formats, and you'll find one in all
recent Macintosh computers, but it would be something you ordered
specifically on a WinTell machine, not something that came in a generic
clone bundle.
