base64 encoding
Hello Jim
On 08-01-97, Jim wrote to All:
Is it just me or is anyone else disturbed about base64 encoded files
here in CSA2 since (to my knowledge) there is no way to decode them on
an Apple II?
There is a program to decode base64 on a 2e and several written since
March and can be used on a IIgs.
In fact I wrote one for the GS myself. called MIMEX.
Tom Larson wrote one for the 2e and 2qs. BISCIT is its name but it works
quite well. BISCIT is a SYS file launchable from the finder.
Tom's and mine are available on ground for sure and mine is
avaiable on GENIE and on caltech.
MIMEX runs from the ORCA. MERLIN and other shell enviroments
StolenBASE is available on Delphi and possibly by internet at
http://www.JadeTech.com/~gser/
This one is strictly GSOS a desktop version and works well
Good luck jim.
