Welcome to comp.sys.apple2. The Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) at
http://www.visi.com/~nathan/a2/faq/csa2.html covers most of these
questions in much more detail; you should read it for reference.

Sequential and Alltech (see FAQ section 10.2 for contact info on
them and many more dealers) both sell ram cards.

With the properly installed parts of the latest system software,
this is quite doable. FAQ section 7.3 & 7.4

>#3. What would I need to add a standard external SCSI hard drive?

A SCSI card and cabling to connect to that drive. These are available
new and used; FAQ section 4.15 & 4.16

The two accelerator boards, the TWGS and Zip GS both will provide
some more heat; whether that makes your system unstable depends on
the other contents of it.

>#5. Can I use a ADB-powerd modem on the IIgs?

   (1) The modem will have to transfer data via a serial port; there
are no known programs that support modems as ADB-only devices. (2)
If this only uses the ADB port for power, this should work ok.
