8MB RAM on OctoRAM board

I used to have 8MB of RAM on my OctoRAM board some years ago, and had
no problems with it. I sold 4 of the 8 a couple years ago, and now
I've just purchased 4 more, 70ns, 1x9 1MB, 30-pin SIMMs (because I got
a great price) from Fry's Electronics. I placed them on the OctoRAM
to fully load it; set the jumpers to recognize 8 MB, and fired up the
computer. Now the system won't boot. I tried setting the RAM cache
to over 4MB (since I know there are DMA problems with > 4MB RAM) and
tried again, no boot. Is there something I'm missing? I was told by
someone here that 1x9 SIMMs are OK to use on the OctoRAM card. Was
this incorrect?

A little info about my system:
	ROM 1 Apple IIgs.
	2- 3.5" Apple drive
	2- 5.25" floppy drives (1 Apple and 1 Mitac)
RamFAST v3.01f (got this in June '96)
	420MB Maxtor SCSI HDD
	105MB Toshiba SCSI HDD
	Toshiba SCSI 1x CD-ROM drive
	150MB Bernoulli Box cartridge drive
4MB RAM in an OctoRAM memory board. (Trying for 8MB)
	TransWarp GS accelerator.
	PCTransporter
	Stereo Sound Card.
GS/OS system 6.0.1 and using ProSel.
	Buggie Power Supply

Any suggestions/help will be appreciated.
