    If replace your system with an Apple IIgs, you can view GIF images 
with relatively acceptable results. Between the usage of multiple color
palettes and scrolling screens, you often get a fair looking image that
is recognizable (which is more than what I can say for using a IIe/IIc).
Sometimes you can even get _very_ decent looking results, especially if
your using Prism or Convert 3200.

    Before anyone points out the Second Sight inside a IIe or IIgs, your
basically throwing out your money on this card. For the same cost you 
can purchase a old 386/486 PC with SVGA display and its own display card, 
maybe even a color Mac, and view GIFs as they were meant to be seen (as 
well as JPEGs too of course).
