Re: About Mark Twain (was Re: August 1988 Issue of inCider magazine....)
Richard Bennett warned me about getting into an argument with you,
Rubywand, about the Mark Twain, and I should listen to him as you are
refuting facts with fantasy.
How can you explain that the Mark Twain prototype computer that I have
includes a High Speed SCSI card built right into the motherboard, or the
fact that it has the equivalent of a SuperDrive Disk Controller, right on
the motherboard, and that the date of the Mark Twain precedes the release
of the SuperDrive Controller card by a full six months?
As I said before, there is a videotape available from the GravenStein
Apple User Group (http://www.crl.com/~mpearce) that provides a guided
tour of the innards of the Mark Twain.
Videos don't lie.
I have fully documented everything known about the Mark Twain (in print
and in video). My knowledge comes from a meeting held with the then
'inner circle' of the Apple II division (or whatever it was called then)
and the fact that I own a Mark Twain prototype, and I secured a second Mark
Twain prototype for Tony Diaz (see pictures of Tony's "Taco Bell" at
http://www.hypermall.com/tdiaz).
Yet, without having read my articles or seen the video...you argue that
I'm making it all up or that I'm perpetuating some type of hoax.
One thing, and one thing only, is clear to me from this discussion...you
enjoy starting csa2 flame-fests.
I have nothing more to say to you on this subject. Refuting facts with
fantasy is a waste of everyone's time.
