Direct Internet connection

Hi,
	I'm going to college next year, and my college provides direct
Internet access (I'm not sure exactly how, but w/no modem needed I
think.  Although I have a PC which I currently use to get online, I
thought it would be fun to use an Apple (especially for downloading
games and stullf).  I have a 2e and a 2c, and I want to get a GS if I
ever find one in my area (not that I'm in the market right now, unless
someone wants to GIVE me one...;).  Anyway, is it possible to hook an
Apple 2 up to a direct connection?
