Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.  Personally, I found the
cases of the Apple ][, the ][ Plus, and even the //e sucked.  Don't
get me wrong, I'm a big Apple II fan.  I think the Apple IIGS was
one of the best computers ever built.  The Apple IIGS, however, has
a streamlined case and a detached keyboard and was slicker than
most any Mac or PC of its day.

The IIGS looked the best as far as the Apple II line (or Mac & PC).
The next best looking one was the IIc Plus, followed by the IIc.
I would say that the Laser series followed closely after.  Then the
Platinum IIe, which wasn't bad.  The beige //e followed, which was
pretty ugly.  The ][ Plus and ][ were the ugliest of the bunch.  :)
