Hi Karl - The batteries I purchased from BatteryStore.com are VAR
55615703012 NiMH 3.6V 150 mAh with 4 pins. Seem to work just fine on
my TimeMaster II H.O. card.
I've not found any info indicating that NiMH will not work correctly -
where have you found that information?

you give me hope. I read about the problem that the rechargeable VARTA
NiCd battery ( I think it was mempak 3.6V 100 mAh 53010 703 012 )
cannot be replaced with the MiMH version because of different power
input requirements of charging NiCd and NiMH batteries. If there is no
problem with the "charge circuit" on the Time Master HO II so that it
handles the NiMH the same way as the former NiCd that would be fine. I
apologize if my "explanation" is a bit hard to understand.
