I reply: SDGS was a fine effort for many, many years. Years ago, I used 
to beta test for SDGS.  I knew that it would end this April, before 
Christmas fo last year. but, I hoped that information would prove not to 
be true.  I'm sorry to see it gone with this last Issue #82. It's 
ashamed it couldn't continue forever. I'll miss SDGS. Everything has 
it's problems and faults. IMHO, the Softdisk GS staff, contributions and 
contents offered - did it's very best to satisfy the needs of its 
subscribers and the entire Apple IIGS community over the years it was 
published.

Well, I've lowered my head with my moment of silence !

Now, who's game for developing a freeware monthly 'Diskazine' to replace 
it. Say a monthly archived 800k disk or two, each month, uploaded to 
Ground and our other A2 ftp sites around the world - with a format and 
style sort of like SDGS used to present their issues with?  

You can never replace SDGS, it was unique.  But, you never know what 
might result with a little bit of unity, talents, efforts, concerns and 
labors-of-love to try to file the gap left with the departure of SDGS 
from the IIGS world.
