Hey, you're catching on. He presents himself as the damn Dalai Lama of every-
thing under the sun related to Apple IIs, when he's clueless. You're getting
the point I've been making for a while now: he tends to blather on about stuff
he knows nothing about. Want another example? The "cheap floppy drive" BS
he mentions from time to time. The fact of the matter is, there has been no
such mention of problems since the AV Macs were current. I know someone who
had a 660av, and it got to where it wouldn't read any 800K disks. It was
an early 660, and had a Sony mechanism, just like everyone's Apple 3.5 drives
connected to their IIgses. Aside from a few others online, I've heard of no
problems with other boxes, certainly not new ones. See, I keep up on
comp.sys.mac so I'm more in the know about such stuff. My 840av has had zero
floppy trouble. It's an early one and so has a Sony floppy as well. But what
do we see? "Arrgghh, Apple puts cheap drives in new Macs and doesn't care
about compatibility any more, arrgh" etc.

Here's something you can count on: you'll never see me answer a PC related
question. The how come of it is because I don't know much about 'em aside from
pretty basic stuff. I prefer to use Apple hardware. And since I don't know
what I'm talking about, I don't chime in when people ask questions.

So do you see why I keep saying people should know what they're talking
about and not just go running off at the mouth?
