Gee, there must be some people who are really desperate to use one instead 
of getting a SCSI hard disk.

Well they are useful on any Mac with a floppy port, just not as good as a 
SCSI drive. But system 7 did drop support somewhere down the line. When I got
mine, I first tried it on my SE/30 running 7.5.5. It didn't show up so I 
thought I had a lemon. Then I tried it on my 512e and it booted into 6.0.5 or
so pretty as you please.
