Apple I Machine

Hi all.

A friend of mine has an original Apple machine.  I mentioned it in the
marketplace group, and I received numerous replies from people wanting to
know exactly what it was, if they could come and see it, how much we
wanted for it, etc.

So I took it to an agent to have it evaluated, and this is what we found;

It is a prototype.  It definitely was assembled by Wozniak in his garage. 
It was assembled prior to the time that they began using serial numbers. 
It may have been one of THE FIRST ever built.

Similar, less spectacular units have recently sold for $30,000.

This one would probably go for $50,000.

In fact, the word is that Steven Jobs himself once expressed interest in
this very machine when in the hands of the prior owner.
