Andrea,
First thing, the printer port on a //c is serial, not parallel like on the
PC, so a Printer port to Printer port transfer from a //c to a PC would not
be possible. ADT should work, though, between the //c's modem port and a
serial port on a PC.
Be sure to run the System Utility Disk on the //c to set the serial port
baud rate correctly.
AS for cables, if you're using a //c *printer* cable, then you should not
need a null modem. This is because a printer is inherently a null modem
cable.
