  Aparently someone several years ago felt it was.. I vaugely remember seeing
advertisements for a program that allowed you to convert Apple II data files to
popular (at the time) PC formats. For example, convert an AppleWorks database
file to Lotus 1-2-3.  I don't remember the name nor do I think I even have the
magazines which I saw it in, but a program DID exist. 

  As far as just putting the disk in the drive and reading it, I'm afraid thats
not possible. I believe it is a hardware difference, but not with the drive,
but with the controller (see: that IBM/AppleII compatible computer that existed
at one point)
