   That's exactly what I mention in the FAQ. David-- is this info from
a Mac tech note, manual, or the like? I'd like chapter and verse, if
possible to quote this, as some people are insisting it doesn't work.
Don't tell me Apple changed the rules for not fragging a file with a
resource fork again....

   Would anyone who cares to try this, copy a file with the
filetype/creator set to that above, and see if a resource fork has
been attached to it on an Apple II. Note Mac model, OS version,
patches, and versions of any/all programs used to copy the files,
change filetypes, etc. There's probably a logical base explanation for
all the *very* annoying inconsistencies, and it'd be nice to figure
out what and why Macs are making it so hard to download files without
messing them up.
