     If you have no reason to believe that some recently installed 
software is the problem source, the problem could be in the hardware. You 
might try doing a power-up boot after each of the following:

Pulling just your joystick
Pulling just the keyboard (plug the mouse into the GS)
Pulling just your external diskette drives
Pulling just the zip and plugging in the original 65C816
Pulling just the Focus and trying to boot into GSOS from diskette
