- Help for PC/Apple//GS Emulator - Basic Programming

I cut my 'computer teeth' on a Apple //+, and later, a GS (...for how long?
...well my second GS monitor is about to give it up!!). I recently threw in
the towel and bought a PC; however I have a large number of basic programs
that I have written (...why? because canned programs never seem to do exactly
what you want, and besides, it's fun!). Many are text only, usually personal
business or financial, and a large number are graphics... (I believe I was doing 
multimedia before I knew a name for it).  The point of all this is:

1> I know the old Apple graphics are not compatable with my PC, but
does anyone know of an emulation to transfer the text programs to my PC?
I realize that I would have to go through the programs and 'tweak' Applesoft
Basic program lines such that execution commands are understood by MS
compatable basic.

2>  Does anyone know of a source for a MS basic program? I have a hunch there
is some freeware on the net. I've searched the net and in computer catalogs with
not much luck except for some very fancy and very expensive programs
(don't think that's what I need).

I apoligize if I'm reasking old questions to this NG. But I would appreciate
any help,
