OK, something is wrong.  You say you can print from 8-bit AW,
but not from any GS/OS software.  Get our your original System
6.0.1 disks and reinstall it!  Make sure the ImageWriter
printer is installed and that the "ImageWriter" is selected
in the DC Printer control panel.  Make sure the Slots control
panel shows the printer port selected instead in slot 1 and
make sure your printer cable is plugged into the printer port.
You may have been printing to slot 2 and the modem port from
8-bit AW...
