Well, I got an e-mail note from Howard Katz telling me that:

SuperPatch's rights are owned by Scantron Quality Computers and is still
considered commercial.  John was able to do a final "LastPatch" for AW4
(or was it 5?  I can't remember) but it was the last he did, and he placed
it in freeware only on Genie.  John's also sold his GS and has moved on to
other machines, specifically the nEXT for graphics works, so he's not
likely to do any more patching work.  And SQC doesn't release any software
to freeware that I'm aware of.  The last item that I know came close was
CheckWorks, and when they ran out of thier supplies, they gave
distribution and disk-copying rights to Joe Kohn.

I certainly didn't know it was still a commercial item and I apologize
for misrepresenting it as such.  I certainly hope no one gets in
trouble for uploading it to an ftp site based on my misinformation;
the error is all mine.
