PC Exchange can do wonders.
Open the PC Exchange control panel (on the Mac). There's a button (Options?)
that opens another window where you can tell PC Exchange to take over a
particular SCSI ID. This will supposedly mount your Apple II-style hard disk
during the next boot.
If you have FWB's hard disk toolkit within reach (and the HDT extension up and
running), you don't even need to reboot. Launch HDT Primer, get the partitions
listing of your ProDOS volume, click the partition you want to mount and push
"Mount" at the bottom.
I'm not sure if PC Exchange will work as advertized as I have never tried that
myself. But, PC Exchange comes with the system software, it's free and not so
much of an overkill as HDT.
I hope that helps.
