Easy! It's a test to find out which people still have the Apple II spirit.
Brutal Deluxe has declared that they don't need the money. Other programmers
like Bret Victor and vendors like Diz or Joe do! No capitalism, just the
desire to stay alive plus the desire to support the Apple II, not just a
big-bucks-cheap-plastic machine.
The people who still program the IIgs for free and for income, the good
folks who bought and will buy LemminGS to honor a great piece of work,
the people who don't want to see witch hunts and flame wars on csa2, even
the people who have downloaded the warez and want to repent now,
---> They all have the true Apple II spirit!
It was a test. You failed!
Message for all cool doodez who still don't know what this little (c) on
some disks means: It means continuity! It means also call for help! If
programmers on the Apple decide to put this insificant letter on one of
their disks, they are asking for your support. NO COMPUTER CAN STAY ALIVE
WITH FREEWARE FOREVER! I know that some of you can get all pirated copies
they want, but only if you grant your support, the AppleII will continue
to stay a wonderful machine
forever :)
