Re: Piracy

Brian Hammack asked the question:
>>"So why did Dr. Tom "declare war" on BD & SSII and why >>did he decide
to share the LemminGS & C3200 code??"

Joe Kohn really isn't the person to give you the answer to this! I am.
So, here's your answer Brian!

Dr. Tom didn't declare war on BD and SSII. Nor, did I decide to share
LemmingGS and 3200 code. Seeing as I had neither, I couldn't share them,
even if I wanted to.

Like others have shown, in another thread/reply to this original article -
(which rather shocked and agitated me somewhat also) my old (now expired)
wco.com email address can be forged and used to post with, so then can my
old expired wco.com acct. have been forged and used to make such files and
archive uploads available via any ftp site.

I certainly knew that any such activity from my acct. would be logged and
a record of it kept and thus would never have done such a stupid and
self-destructive thing myself nor authorized anybody else to use my acct.
for such upload. Yet, it did occur from my old and now expired wco.com
acct.

I doubt it could be done from my AOL acct. But, one never knows, what
skills these rogue hackers and warez pirates have at their disposal now
days. At least I don't!

I can't control what the rogue hackers and warez pirates do. I can only
restate that I didn't do it or authorize anybody else to do it from my old
wco.com - ISP acct.

Cheers,
Tom
