I used an international version in Greece last summer.  In the
"international setting" [both buttons up, if I recall correctly, but I'm
not sure without having it in front of me] I had a Greek keyboard and
screen.  Otherwise, it was English.  This was true for Multiscribe as well
as Appleworks 3.0 and ProTerm3.1.  It was also possible to change some
other settings/alphabet characters using control-tab.
