WAVs and AUs are playable and convertable to resource sounds with
rSounder3. I recently picked up a bunch of 70's commercials and TV
theme songs in AU format, changed them to r-sounds and now enjoy them
readily (play 'em with rSoundBrowser or make 'em startup sounds).
rSounder3 is for the GS. If you have a //e or //c, then you wind up
using IISound 4.2, which also works with AUs and WAVs (just deal with a
little fuzz at the very beginning of the sounds, which comes from the
header info which describes the files to other platforms as sounds).
IISound won't convert formats though since it just plays them.
