Help: AppleWorks to LaserJet 6MP

I just got a LaserJet 6MP for my Mac and GS to share; the 6MP is a
PostScript level 2. The 6.0.1 laserwriter driver doesn't work with it, but
the 6.0 does. (Thanks, Sean Lynch.) Meanwhile, I've got a problem with the
imagewriter emulation. I download it, and then run AppleWorks. When I
print, the first line is all garbage, and there are numbers running down
the left. Anyone have a clue how to get it working right?
