Are you sure that this is the EXACT same configuration as your 800K
boot disks? It could be that the installer dumped a couple of extra
things when installing onto the 1.44MB disks or hard drive, thus
causing the ROM 1 to run out of memory. 1.25Meg is very skimpy
and this is a possible cause.
Try copying all the files from your 800K boot disk to an empty
hard drive boot partition or to an empty 1.44MB disk and see if it
boots. Also, can you access your hard disk or 1.44MB floppies at all
when you boot from an 800K boot disk?
