Apple IIe no boot
I have recently inherited an Apple IIe that I can't get to boot from
any of several system disks. It starts to load stuff into memory, then
beeps and goes to monitor prompt, printing out cpu registers. The
exception is I have a copy protected game disk called Repton that will
boot. I have changed out the disk drive and controller card with that
of another apple and get the same results. The self test displays the
following line: RAM: f13 f12 f11 f10 f9 f8 f7 f6
Test stops there and hangs. Does anyone know what this means? Could
I have a bad ram chip? Are there any technical manuals that cover self
tests?
