A better postscript driver?

Greetings:

I recently used the Postscript driver from System 6.0.1 to write
a postscript file to disk.  (Following the instructions in
the FAQ - thanks, Nathan.)  As the FAQ says, the output winds
up in the Drivers directory, with a sequentially numbered
filename.  Bleah.

Furthermore, you have to type funny characters to get it to work.
I like my unix applications, where there's a radio button
and text field to implement it:

[X] Print only to file: [/hard/output/this.ps            ]

Does anyone know of a better driver; one that implements this?
