     A good monitor for both color graphics and 80 column text would have to be the Apple Color Composite Monitor.  I recall one magazine marveled at the quality of the monitor once.  I have used this monitor at schools before and I really liked it.  Too bad I never was able to purchase one.  But you should be able to purchase one at a used computer store that services Apple II's.  I believe a store called "The Used Computer Store" in Berkeley might have them, though I wouldn't know for sure.  But it's a great monitor and if you can find it for the right price, you should go for it.
