The minute I start putting prices more than $5 into the FAQ, they'd
be obsolete by the time I uploaded it. [And there's no way to get
prices to drop automatically in my web pages without some real fun
scripts :]
The current FAQ does cover adding modems, and notes ways to check
if your //c might be vulnerable to a problem preventing reliable
serial communication past 2400 baud. As it says, most to all external
serial modems (ask for that) should work fine. It also notes places to
get modem software, cables from a //c to a modem, and the like. If
your //c can handle it, I'd recommend a 14.4 modem as modems slower
than that are hard to find new nowadays, and 14.4s are getting real
cheap.
