Re: II+ to PowerPC

John's Guide To Buying A Computer: Find the software you need/want
to run, then buy the computer that runs that software.

Chnaces are the only files from the II+ you'll be able to use on the
Mac &/or PC are text files. There are a LOT of ways to move text files
from one platform to another. The tricky part is moving the data from
5.25" media (which almost nothing uses anymore) to 3.5" media. We
still use II+'s as data loggers and move the data to both Mac and PCs.
To do this we use a GS to move the data from 5.25" ProDOS (or DOS 3.3)
disks from the II+'s to 3.5" HFS disks. From there we can use Apple
File Exchange on a Mac to move the data to MS-DOS disks. There are
easier ways, but this works for us.

Have fun!
