Misc questions

I have a "PEEK(64447) = 255" Apple //c. Searching around the net (Thanks
Nathan!) I've learned that it took a motherboard swap to upgrade to a
"0" version of the rom, which fixes the serial timing bug and has an
improved ROM. It makes common sense to me that what Apple was doing was
giving you a factory-modified motherboard, and not a completeley new
design. I'm a techie type person with a soldering hot and ready to go,
I have EPROMS to burn (pun intended). Anybody out there have a description
of what needed to be done to the motherboard so it would accept the newer
(double in size of the older) ROM? I'm not as interested in the serial
timing fix, but it wouldn't hurt. :)

Also, what are the latest versions of Proterm and Appleworks?
