Unfortunately, I don't think it's going to be that easy. If I remember
correctly, the Mac always writes files as forked files, even on ProDOS
disks. The Apple IIgs can handle this, but the IIe can't. So even if the
IIe has a 3.5 inch drive, I don't think it will like any ProDOS disk
written by a Mac.
The way I do it is to use comm programs on Mac and IIe (I use ProTERM on
both sides) to download the files from the Mac to the IIe. For you to do
this, you would need a serial card in the IIe and either (A) the computers
side by side with a null-modem connection or (B) modems and each and
transfer by phone. I don't know whether either of these are practical for
you.
