Help with IIgs

I am a teacher who just got an Apple IIgs for my classroom and I know
nothing about it.  I'm posting form my home computer, an IBM.

The IIgs didn't seem to have a hard drive,but after reading some of
the FAQ I'm thinking that maybe what I'm missing is an opearting
system, or I just don't know how to get to it.  It has only a 5.25
disk drive, b&w monitor.  I have a couple of programs which work on
it, Piece of Cake Math, Moptown Parade.

The only person in my school who knows anything about Apples is on
leave, so I'm the computer "expert" , which isn't saying much.  Its
very frustrating to finally have a computer for my students and then
not know how to use it.

Any help would be very much appreciated.
