Quite true!
Z80 and CP/M enthusiasts are still around in
	comp.os.cpm
	comp.os.cpm.amethyst
	comp.arch.embedded

8 bit CPUs have gone "underground" and can be found inside
things such as tvs as dedicated controllers.

Me, I have several Z80 systems (mostly single board computers such
as Xerox 820 "bigboard", Ampro "littleboard" and others
that were geared for making into controllers).
They're all waiting for me to learn enough to integrate them again.
They'll all find new roles as controllers instead of
stand alone systems.
