Apple Graphic Tablet - Info Available? (schematics, pinouts, etc)

I'm wondering if someone can help me with a hardware question I have?
Here's the lowdown:

I just grabbed an Apple Graphics Tablet (Model A2M2007) that /appears/
to be from the A2/Early Mac era.  It has no pen, but otherwise looks
to be  in fine shape.  I'm hoping to use it for an electronics
project, but have absolutely NO information on it (bought it at a
surplus shop.. that'll teach me! <G>).

Would anybody have any insights/information/clues to the inner
workings of this beast?  Searches of the web haven't turned anything
up, but I figured that if ANYONE knew anything about this beast, they
would be found here.

If it's necessary, I'm a legitimate Apple IIe (not //e) owner,
although it's plain vanilla.  :^(   Every time I get to thinking about
upgrading it, something else comes up.  Ah well... one day before I
retire... :^)
