Since you asked, yep, that is the fact.

Each and every piece of commercial software I have in my possession has
been paid for. I have original disks/CD's, receipts and licensing cards to
prove it.

Each and every piece of shareware that I use after the evaluation period
has been paid for. I have the cancelled checks to prove it.

For software that is used on more than one computer, I either 1) have a
site license (documented) or 2) have multiple copies of the program (e.g.,
I own three registered copies of Microsoft Word) or 3) use said software
on only one computer at a time, if the license from the publisher permits
me to do it that way (a few do).

My employer demands it. So do I. Call it squeaky-clean if you like.

I have every right to advocate that computer users honor copyrights and
not steal from others. Seems like a reasonable position to me.
